In a warm family atmosphere, La Grange offers 5 comfortable guest rooms in Salers, in the Cantal region of Auvergne. Each room has its own private shower room and toilet. The property’s large grounds make it easy to park your vehicle on site, then reach the village centre on foot.
A dining area is also available, equipped with a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a sink. This allows guests to enjoy the advantages of both a bed and breakfast and a self-catering cottage, depending on their wishes or needs.



Jean-Claude and his family welcome you to “La Grange”. All this just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Salers, officially listed among the most beautiful villages in France. The edge of the property is only 170 metres from the village ramparts.


La Grange’s ideal location allows you to discover the many attractions of the region: hiking, cycling, sightseeing, local produce and gastronomy. You can also enjoy the peace and quiet of a property set in 2 hectares of land, with an outstanding view over Salers and the famous Puy Violent.

- The house is a non-smoking area, including the bedrooms.
- We have an Australian Shepherd dog (very nice) at the barn.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept other animals.
- In the night area, the bedroom floor, we ask our guests to take their shoes off.

If you have any specific questions / requests regarding the organization of the rooms, the stay, the services offered, etc. do not hesitate to contact us in advance by phone, we will be able to take stock together. The idea is that everyone has a good time. If you come to us for a happy event, birthday, wedding anniversary, etc. We can prepare together small attentions (gift basket etc.) in the room before your arrival for example.

The rooms do not have a television. This is a deliberate choice, in keeping with the spirit of La Grange: a peaceful place where guests can slow down, disconnect and enjoy their stay differently. Wi-Fi is available, and you will find beautiful books, board games and card games on site for reading, relaxing or sharing a simple moment together.

Can I have dinner on site?

La Grange includes breakfast but does not operate as a table d’hôtes. Several restaurants are available in Salers and nearby, and we will be happy to advise you according to your preferences.
